Bridget Stone
Library Director She/Her I’m Bridget Stone, I grew up in Underhill and spent 4 years as Children’s Librarian at Essex Free Library engaging kids and families. I said "SHHH!" only once. I weave my background in Literature and Education into listening carefully to the art and beauty in everyone’s words. All of our stories matter; they are how we create, recreate and remember. Our stories are the interior world we inhabit, and the foundation of our lived world. I start every day with a smile on my face because there is always something new to learn. I am eager to use my life to the benefit and service of others. This is more than a job; I’m thrilled to join the mission of Georgia Public Library as a thriving community hub of gathering, learning, fun, reflection and growth. |
Megan Jamison
Lead Library Assistant He/They I grew up coming to the Georgia Public Library often, and it's so exciting to be working here now! Since middle school, I have been fascinated by library organization and structure. In 7th grade, I assisted in the GEMS library and that is still one of my fondest memories! I started here at the Georgia library as a substitute, and now have made my way up to library assistant. If middle school Megan who had memorized the Dewey Decimal number for cats (636.8) could see me now, I think they'd be very happy! I'm so glad to be here and I can't wait to help you find all the books your heart desires! |

I've been been a resident and involved member of the community of Georgia since falling in love with the town and buying a home here with my husband, Joe, 6 years ago. Together we are raising two wonderful little book-lovers.
Since arriving in Georgia, I've been involved with many local organizations including the Georgia Playgroup, the Georgia PTCO, Neighbors for Georgia, and have recently become a Pre-K substitute for GEMS. The Georgia Public Library was one of the first places I visited after moving to town. An unabashed book-lover, I began frequenting the library, soon becoming a part time volunteer, and eventually accepting a permanent position as lead library assistant. After leaving this position, I knew my mission at the library was not complete and I am now proudly serving my second term on the Library Board of Trustees. |
