September 2017 Programs
Tuesday, October 10, 3:30-4:30: After-School Art Club: Join us for this new monthly program where students complete fun and creative projects. We will meet the second Tuesday of the month. This month’s project will be decorating mini pumpkins. Must register.
Monday, Oct 16, 6:30-8pm: Writers Group: Hone your craft as a writer, inspire your creativity and fuel your passion for writing. Offer your critique of other members’ writing and submit your own for constructive tips and ideas from the group.
Saturday, October 21st, 10-12:30: Book Folding Workshop (Part 1): In this first session, participants will learn the art of book folding by making an angel shaped altered book.
Tuesday, October 24, 6-7pm: Kids Book Club: This book club features books at the 4-5 grade reading level but is open to all young readers. Our first book will be Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech. Kids can pick up a copy of the book to borrow for the month and a packet of activities to go along with it any time before our discussion date. We will discuss the book on Tuesday, October 24th and do fun activities to connect the book with our lives.
Thursday, October, 26, 6-8: Book Folding Workshop (Part 2): In this second session of this workshop, participants will choose to either decorate the angel they folded in the first session or learn a second simple folding pattern.
Wednesdays at 9:30am: Library Cafe: Meet up with your neighbors for a chat, read the newspaper and sip some coffee and have a snack. All are welcome. Sponsored by 802Magic.
Thursdays at 6:30pm: Ukulele: Free Ukulele classes every Thursday at 6:30. Some are led by instructor Dennis Carman, others are peer practices.
Fridays at 10am: Story Time: Join us for themed stories, songs, and activities for ages 0-6. No registration necessary for Story Time.
Fridays at 3:30pm: Brick Builders Club: Kids get creative with our great collection of LegosTM.
