The Georgia Public Library invites you to participate in our free, fun, and educational summer reading program for children of all ages.

Wednesday, July 12, 2-3pm: Exordium presents Beavers: Learn all about these amazing architects with a hand-on on science lesson from Mr. K of Exordium. Recommended ages 4+. Please register.

Friday, July 14, 10-11am: Story Time: Gardens Children age 0-6 are invited to listen to stories, sing songs and do activities. No registration required.

Saturday, July 15, 10-11:30: STEM Fixes Fairy Tales: Rapunzel won’t be stuck in that tower after we show her a few STEM tricks. This hands-on activity will encourage children to think outside of the box and use simple machines to help solve some classic literary problems. Ages 5+. Please register.

Friday, July 21, 10-11am: Story Time: Honey Bees: Children age 0-6 are invited to listen to stories, sing songs and do activities. No registration required.

Tuesday, July 25, 5:30-7pm: Recycled Wind Turbines: Youth will create wind turbines out of recycled materials and test them outside. Ages 8+. Please register.

Friday, July 28, 10-11am: Story Time: Recycling: Children age 0-6 are invited to listen to stories, sing songs and do activities. No registration required.

Wednesday, August 2, 1:30-2:30pm: “From Trash to Tunes”: An interactive performance with Dr. Dennis Waring using handmade and homemade musical instruments built from recyclables inspired from instruments around the world. Please register.

Saturday, August 5, 10-11:30am: Summer Reading Finale and prize drawing: Celebrate an awesome summer of reading! We will have refreshments and raffle off lots of Beanie Babies! And, if our paper chain has reached all around the library, the kids will dye the hair of our librarian, Nicole!
